Are you ready to go back?
The world has changed, and the way we live has changed with it. COVID-19 has pushed our lives into the online realm. As British Columbia begins the gradual reopening process in the coming weeks, we will begin to move back offline. However, this journey in which our days hover between the digital and physical is far from concluded.
Join the Alternator in investigating how you plan to find your new normal in the space between online and offline. Artists and creatives from all disciplines and stages of their careers are welcome to join at one of two ZOOM sessions on Thursday, May 21, 6-7 p.m. and Friday, May 22, 2-3 p.m.
While existing within the constant of a singular home space, or for some a dual home and work space, access to spaces for gathering, socializing, learning, and engaging have been regulated to the virtual world. What does the return to outside spaces look like? How will you engage with culture? Will you eat and exercise outside of the home? What role do cultural and entertainment institutions play: will they remain a gathering place, or place to be safely avoided?
We want to know, during this massive cultural shift, where the threshold between online and offline life falls for you and your loved ones.
