The Alternator has partnered with seven fellow local arts and culture organizations to form an ad-hoc, non-partisan sector collaboration called Culture Vote Kelowna. To better understand each candidate’s vision for local arts, culture, and heritage, our coalition distributed a digital survey to all registered candidates running for Mayor and City Council. The survey asked candidates about key topics facing our city, including affordable access to programming, implementation of the Kelowna Creates Cultural Plan, creative infrastructure and space shortages, and the role of the creative economy. We are sharing all candidate responses verbatim: our goal is to provide an accessible platform for candidates to present their perspectives directly to you.
