Alternator Chat: Making (and not making) art during COVID-19

Artists: How has your practice changed due to Covid-19?

For many artists and creatives, livelihoods, processes for making work, and inspiration have all been upended. Hosted and moderated by the Alternator, this is an opportunity to connect with other artists and creatives about how your practice has been impacted by Covid-19.

Artists and creatives from all disciplines and stages of their careers are invited to participate in one of two ZOOM sessions on Thursday, April 16, 6-7 p.m. and Friday, April 17, 2-3 p.m.

These informal sessions are ideal for those who are interested in engaging with each other and Alternator staff about how their artistic practice has been impacted by Covid-19: Have you lost (or found) inspiration during these times? How have you had to 'retool' your practice ( because some of the materials, processes or spaces you rely on are no longer available)?

These sessions provide an opportunity to learn how your peers are coping, share techniques, frustrations, or your needs for external support. These sessions can be used as a sounding board for processing your new practices, methods and approaches to your practice during this time of isolation.

Both sessions are free and open to the public. Registration is required through Eventbrite. Participation in both sessions is limited to a maximum of eight (8) people. Participants will be provided with a Zoom link to join their session.
