I agree with and will comply with the following statements:
The Annual Postcard Project is an all-ages show, and work should be selected appropriately. The Alternator retains the right to refuse any artworks that are deemed inappropriate. Content of works must be in line with our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy. Works that include appropriation, hate speech and symbols will not be accepted.
Artists are responsible for the delivery and retrieval (if unsold) of all works submitted.
Artwork must be dropped off at the Alternator between June 25 - 29 during regular gallery hours.
Unsold artwork must be picked up between August 13 - 17. If you require a different pick-up date, please contact gallery staff and we will be happy to accommodate an alternate pick-up time.
Insurance for artwork(s) on exhibition and in transit is the responsibility of the artist.
Sold artwork will be packaged and released to purchasers directly from the gallery at the time of sale.
The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art will complete all sales transactions and will receive a 25% commission on all work sold through the Annual Postcard Project.
75% of any sales go directly to the artists. Artists will receive payment for sold artwork(s) via cheque in September 2024.
In submitting artwork, artists give the Alternator permission to use images of individual works for the promotion of the Exhibition in print, on the Alternator’s website and social channels to the general public.
